| Opis awersu | Printed in deep rose-red on a lighter pink underprint, the obverse carries the issuer's name 'KREIS KEMPEN' in bold Roman capitals at the top, beneath which the denomination 'Fünfhundert Millionen Mark' is rendered in large Fraktur script over a decorative scrollwork vignette. The lower portion contains the authorisation text in Gothic letterpress, dated 'Kempen Rh. den 1. Aug. 1923', accompanied by a circular official stamp of the Preussischer Landrat Kempen-Rhein bearing an eagle device, and a manuscript signature of the Landrat to the right. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse is printed entirely in rose-red on a pink tinted ground, with the denomination '500.000.000' repeated in smaller type at upper left and right within a fine guilloche border frame. The central field carries the denomination legend 'Fünf-Hundert Millionen' in bold sans-serif lettering within an oval cartouche, with 'MARK' in large underprint below, followed by the authorisation line 'Ausgegeben mit Genehmigung des Reichsministeriums'. The serial number, prefixed 'D.', is typeset in black at the foot of the central panel. |
