| Obverse description | Printed in deep rose-red on a lighter pink underprint, the obverse carries the issuer's name 'KREIS KEMPEN' in bold Roman capitals at the top, beneath which the denomination 'Fünfhundert Millionen Mark' is rendered in large Fraktur script over a decorative scrollwork vignette. The lower portion contains the authorisation text in Gothic letterpress, dated 'Kempen Rh. den 1. Aug. 1923', accompanied by a circular official stamp of the Preussischer Landrat Kempen-Rhein bearing an eagle device, and a manuscript signature of the Landrat to the right. |
