| Description de l’avers | Printed in black and ochre on plain paper, the obverse is framed by a bold zigzag guilloche border on all four sides. The central panel presents the denomination '500' in large bold numerals above the Fraktur inscription 'Millionen Mark', with the issuing authority designations 'Stadtverwaltung' and 'Stadthauptkasse' flanking a redemption notice below; the date 'Kaiserslautern, 10. Oktober 1923' appears centrally between two facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and Finanzrat. A stylised heraldic eagle vignette with spread wings and displayed talons occupies the centre in a Republican German manner, with the denomination '500 Millionen Mark' repeated in Fraktur script to each side. A line of text along the lower margin declares the territorial validity within the Regierungsbezirk Pfalz and the expiry date of 1 April 1924. |
