| Obverse description | Printed in black and ochre on plain paper, the obverse is framed by a bold zigzag guilloche border on all four sides. The central panel presents the denomination '500' in large bold numerals above the Fraktur inscription 'Millionen Mark', with the issuing authority designations 'Stadtverwaltung' and 'Stadthauptkasse' flanking a redemption notice below; the date 'Kaiserslautern, 10. Oktober 1923' appears centrally between two facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and Finanzrat.
