The text body, set in letterpress, orders payment of five hundred million drachmai to the bearer, dated 6 October 1944, with the branch director's manuscript signature at lower right. The note bears no vignette or decorative underprint, the design relying entirely on typeset Greek text laid out in the manner of a formal cheque order. |
