Within the lower arc of the FAO circle, the inscription '16 OCT' appears to the left and 'WORLD FOOD DAY' curves along the bottom, commemorating the inaugural World Food Day on 16 October 1981. The outer legend 'ŚWIATOWY DZIEŃ ŻYWNOŚCI' — the Polish-language equivalent of 'World Food Day' — arcs along the upper periphery of the coin. |
