Reverse description A forward-facing crowned bust of King Bolesław I Chrobry (Bolesław the Brave), first King of Poland, depicted in medieval regal attire with an ornate crown bearing fleur-de-lis finials and wearing a fur-trimmed royal mantle secured by a clasp at the chest. The effigy is rendered in a stylized, low-relief portrait occupying the majority of the field. The legend 'BOLESŁAW I CHROBRY' arcs along the upper periphery, while the regnal dates '992 - 1025' are inscribed along the right side of the field, as engraved by Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt.
