Issued in 1998 to mark the centenary of Zhou Enlai's birth — he was born on March 5, 1898, in Huaian, Jiangsu — this coin reflects the ongoing rehabilitation and official glorification of Zhou that accelerated after Deng Xiaoping's consolidation of power.
