| 背面描述 | The reverse features a stylized central medallion depicting a traditional Lagatoi sailing canoe with a human athletic figure above it, rendered in uncolored relief against the field. Surrounding the central device is a prominent circular band divided into multicolored segments replicating traditional woven mat patterns, applied in color printing with blue, yellow, green, red, and black sections. The circumferential legend PORT MORESBY 2015 · XV PACIFIC GAMES · PAPUA NEW GUINEA runs along the outer edge of the heptagonal flan in raised Latin letters. The overall design commemorates the XV Pacific Games hosted in Port Moresby in 2015. |

The XV Pacific Games were hosted by Port Moresby in 2015 — the first time Papua New Guinea had taken on the event, and a significant organizational undertaking for a country whose infrastructure had drawn skepticism from regional bodies during the bidding process. The colored coin program issued alongside the games was part of a broader commemorative strategy by the Bank of Papua New Guinea, which had been expanding its collector series through the 2010s.
KM#68 is one of relatively few circulation-format PNG coins to carry applied color, a process more common in the country's bullion and proof collector output.
