Reverse description The reverse depicts the Grand Collar and Badge of the Order of Altyn Kyran (Golden Eagle), Kazakhstan's highest state decoration. At the center, the ornate star-shaped badge features a multi-pointed sunburst design with an inner medallion bearing an eagle displayed and the inscription АЛТЫН ҚЫРАН. Suspended above the badge by a chain collar is the order's grand collar medallion, rendered with fine detail against a darkened field. The date 2006 appears in the lower exergue, flanked by dots, with the bilingual legend • ЗНАК ОРДЕНА АЛТЫН ҚЫРАН ОРДЕНІНІҢ БЕЛГІСІ • distributed around the periphery in Cyrillic and Kazakh script.

Additional information

The Altyn Kyran — "Golden Eagle" in Kazakh — was a state honor established in 1995 as one of the first national orders created after Kazakhstan's independence from the Soviet Union. This circulation commemorative was issued as part of a broader series honoring Kazakh state symbols and decorations, a project that occupied the National Bank through much of the 2000s. The nickel silver composition was a deliberate budget concession — the series prioritized wide accessibility over precious metal content.
