| Obverse description | Vertically oriented note printed in black ink on cream paper with red official seals applied at issuance. The upper register bears the title inscription of the Board of Revenue (戶部官票) within a bordered panel, flanked by dragon vignettes in the lateral margins. The central field carries the denomination in large Chinese characters (伍拾兩) within a rectangular cartouche, surrounded by the regulatory text governing exchange and penalties; the date and serial number are inscribed in the left column in period brushwork. |
