Reverse description Convex reverse of the waisted sycee ingot, displaying the raised two-character legend 元寶 (Yuanbao) cast in bold traditional Chinese regular script (kaishu) positioned centrally within the field. The characters are rendered in high relief against the heavily pitted and bubbled surface texture that is characteristic of cast high-purity silver, with the natural cratering resulting from the cooling process clearly visible across the entire reverse field. The waisted, saddle-shaped silhouette of the ingot is well defined at the flanges.
