| 正面描述 | Vignette of an East African lion in close profile dominates the left field, rendered in fine intaglio-style line engraving against a multicolour guilloche underprint. Acacia trees on the open savannah form the central vignette, with orange marigold flora at lower left. The denomination '50 SHILLINGS' appears vertically on the right band alongside a signature and series inscription. |

| 备注 |
Tanzania's shift to polymer for this series was driven partly by the practical demands of equatorial circulation — heat, humidity, and handling conditions that destroy cotton-substrate notes within months. The 2018 polymer issues were produced by Note Printing Australia, one of a small number of facilities globally capable of printing on Guardian substrate at this format width.
Serengeti National Park, gazetted in 1951, generates roughly a third of Tanzania's tourism revenue — its appearance on the 50 Shilling denomination reflects a deliberate policy choice to embed the country's primary foreign exchange earner into everyday transactional currency.
