Opmerkingen

Tanzania's shift to polymer for this series was driven partly by the practical demands of equatorial circulation — heat, humidity, and handling conditions that destroy cotton-substrate notes within months. The 2018 polymer issues were produced by Note Printing Australia, one of a small number of facilities globally capable of printing on Guardian substrate at this format width.

Serengeti National Park, gazetted in 1951, generates roughly a third of Tanzania's tourism revenue — its appearance on the 50 Shilling denomination reflects a deliberate policy choice to embed the country's primary foreign exchange earner into everyday transactional currency.
