50 Shilingi Conservation

Beschrijving voorzijde	Bare-headed portrait bust of President Julius Kambarage Nyerere facing left, rendered in high relief with fine surface detail. Flanking the effigy are two decorative foliate sprigs, one to each side. The legend 'TANZANIA 1974' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'RAIS WA KWANZA' (meaning 'First President') curves along the lower rim, all in Latin script against a deeply mirrored proof field.

Beschrijving keerzijde	A full-bodied Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis) stands facing right in the centre field, rendered in bold sculptural relief with naturalistic detail including textured hide and prominent horn. Small acacia trees appear in the far background beneath the animal. The curved inscription 'SHILINGI HAMSINI' arcs around the upper periphery, while the numeral '50' appears in the lower exergue, all against a deeply mirrored proof field characteristic of this conservation series issue.
