The imperial chrysanthemum seal appears prominently at the top of the field, flanked by the outstretched wings of the phoenixes. The legend 見本 (Mihon, meaning 'Sample') is inscribed to the upper right of the denomination, identifying this piece as an official pattern or specimen.
