| 背面描述 | The central vignette presents an intaglio view of a colonial-style multi-storey building flanked by tall coconut palms rendered in olive-green line engraving, set within a framed panel. A decorative star rosette appears at upper left, and an ornate geometric guilloche border in gold and blue runs along the right margin. The denomination is printed vertically in large numerals on both the left and right margins. |

The Seychelles Monetary Authority was itself a transitional institution — created in 1978 to replace the Currency Board system and later superseded by the Central Bank of Seychelles in 1983. This note falls squarely in that five-year window, making the SMA series one of the shorter-lived issuing authorities in the region's monetary history.
Bradbury Wilkinson's New Malden facility handled a significant share of Commonwealth and post-colonial currency work through the 1970s and 1980s before the firm was absorbed by De La Rue in 1990.
