The central vignette presents an intaglio rendering of an ornate ceremonial shield or drumhead decorated with a makara (mythical sea creature) motif in dark blue, set before a landscape background with a rocky outcrop, a dagoba stupa, and ancient temple architecture rendered in pale green and ochre tones.
