| Beschrijving voorzijde | Black and brown letterpress text on blue underprint. The note carries a handwritten date and may bear an additional stamping applied by various local banks. The overall design is typographic in character, typical of emergency Civil War-era issues from the Kuban region. |

Ekaterinodar — present-day Krasnodar — was the capital of the Kuban People's Republic, and in 1918 it became one of dozens of Russian cities forced to print their own emergency money as the central monetary system collapsed entirely. This 50-rouble note is a product of that fragmentation: a local authority filling a cash vacuum with whatever printing resources were at hand.
The Kuban region changed hands repeatedly between White and Bolshevik forces throughout 1918–1920, and municipal issues like this one were frequently declared worthless overnight when control shifted. Survival rates vary considerably by denomination — smaller values tended to circulate harder and survive less.
