Opmerkingen

Qatar Central Bank replaced the Qatar & Dubai Currency Board in 1973, following Dubai's entry into the UAE, leaving Qatar to establish its own monetary authority. This 2003 series was issued during a period of rapid institutional modernization at QCB, though the note itself is conventional De La Rue production work with no notable printing anomalies on record.

Security provision here is modest by the standards of its issue year — watermark and embedded thread only, without the windowed or demetalized thread variants De La Rue was already supplying to other Gulf clients at the time.
