Mô tả mặt sau Central field bears the denomination numeral '50' in Latin figures below the Khmer word for 'riels' (រៀល) and the Khmer numeral '៥០', all enclosed within an open wreath of stylized laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon. A rope-pattern border runs along the inner edge of the coin, with Khmer script legends arranged around the periphery. The composition is clean and symmetrical, consistent with the utilitarian design aesthetic of Cambodian circulation coinage of this period.

Thông tin bổ sung

Cambodia resumed issuing coins in 1994 after a gap of roughly two decades — the Khmer Rouge had abolished money entirely in 1975, evacuating cities and shutting the National Bank within days of taking Phnom Penh. Coinage only became practical again after UNTAC administered the 1993 elections that restored constitutional monarchy under Sihanouk. This steel issue was part of the first post-restoration circulating series, deliberately modest in metal content given the country's devastated economy.
