| Описание лицевой стороны | Printed in red on a cream guilloche underprint, the note carries the Arms of Gibraltar within an oval vignette at the top centre, flanked by foliate branches. The issuer's title appears in a bold banner below the vignette, with the denomination expressed in both English and Spanish ('CINCUENTA LIBRAS') on either side of the central text block. Large '£50' numerals occupy the left and right margins within ornate cartouches, and the note bears a perfin 'SPECIMEN' cancellation with zeroed serial numbers. |

Gibraltar, 6th August, 1914. Colonial Treasurer { N.B. - This note is issued under the provisions of Ordinance 10 of 1914, and is secured by the said Ordinance on the assets and general Revenue of the Colony. |
