Obverse description Printed in red on a cream guilloche underprint, the note carries the Arms of Gibraltar within an oval vignette at the top centre, flanked by foliate branches. The issuer's title appears in a bold banner below the vignette, with the denomination expressed in both English and Spanish ('CINCUENTA LIBRAS') on either side of the central text block. Large '£50' numerals occupy the left and right margins within ornate cartouches, and the note bears a perfin 'SPECIMEN' cancellation with zeroed serial numbers.
