Descrizione del rovescio	A flying pigeon displayed centrally in the field, rendered in relief as a symbol of peace. The inscription 'বাংলাদেশ' (Bangladesh) appears along the upper legend, with the date '১৯৭৩' (1973) below it. The denomination is indicated in the lower portion of the field in both Bengali script 'পঞ্চাশ পয়সা' (Fifty Poisha) and the numeral '৫০', separated by a horizontal line.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Bangladesh issued its first coin series in 1973, just two years after independence from Pakistan following the Liberation War. The 50 Poisha was part of that inaugural national coinage, struck as the new state was still consolidating basic institutions — the Bangladesh Bank itself had only been established in 1972. Nickel brass was a practical choice for a country rebuilding its economy under acute resource constraints and significant postwar inflation.
