Pick 70 has been the workhorse fifty-piastres note for decades, with the Egyptian Government Printing House running successive date varieties through an unbroken design lineage that stretches back to the 1980s. The practical consequence of that longevity is heavy circulation wear — this denomination sees real daily use, and survivors in anything approaching original condition are consistently harder to find than the print runs would suggest.
