Two ornamental gilt columns frame the composition left and right, with the denomination numeral '50' printed in salmon-pink at each corner against a dark border. The legend 'Stadt Aschaffenburg' is set in large decorative lettering along the bottom margin, with the printer's imprint 'H. Stürtz A.G. Würzburg' below, and the artist's signature 'A.
