The denomination '50 Pf.' appears in a decorative cartouche at the upper left, while the issue date 'Wartha den 5. Juli 1921' is inscribed at the lower left and the validity notice 'Gültig bis Monat n. Aufkündigung' at the upper right. A pink guilloche wave pattern surrounds the entire composition, and two facsimile signatures of the Magistrat appear at the lower right. |

The words 'MUTTER MARIA' are inscribed in Gothic lettering on the left and right flanking panels respectively, and a scroll banner along the lower margin carries the legend 'Notgeld der Schlesischen Wallfahrtsstadt Wartha'. The printer's imprint 'Gross, Barth & Comp. W. Friedrich, Breslau' appears in small text at the very foot of the note. |
