| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse carries a central vignette of the Bergsturz (landslide) of 1518, rendered in a colourful lithographic style set within a diamond-shaped frame with a dark blue border; a rocky mountainside dominates the scene, with figures and a flagged post visible along the riverbank below. The denomination '50 Pf.' appears in a decorative cartouche at the upper left, while the issue date 'Wartha den 5. Juli 1921' is inscribed at the lower left and the validity notice 'Gültig bis Monat n. Aufkündigung' at the upper right. A pink guilloche wave pattern surrounds the entire composition, and two facsimile signatures of the Magistrat appear at the lower right. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a central vignette of the enthroned Madonna and Child — the celebrated Marian image venerated at Wartha's pilgrimage church — rendered in bold lithographic colours of teal, red, and gold against a stippled teal underprint. The words 'MUTTER MARIA' are inscribed in Gothic lettering on the left and right flanking panels respectively, and a scroll banner along the lower margin carries the legend 'Notgeld der Schlesischen Wallfahrtsstadt Wartha'. The printer's imprint 'Gross, Barth & Comp. W. Friedrich, Breslau' appears in small text at the very foot of the note. |
