A second inner pearl circle frames the central field, within which the large numeral '50' appears in raised relief, denoting the denomination in Pfennig. Three small five-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower arc of the inner pearl circle, serving as decorative separators. |

Anton Wieninger was a private merchant or innkeeper in the Bavarian market town of Regen who issued this notgeld token during the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany in the early 1920s. Municipal and commercial emergency coinage of this kind filled a vacuum left when official zinc and aluminum coins were hoarded or melted as metal values rose against the collapsing mark.
