| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of a large oak tree, from the trunk of which hangs a circular red wax seal of the Marktflecken Schweina by a twisted cord. Two pigs graze and root in the grass at the foot of the tree on either side. A green ribbon banner at the top carries the issuing authority inscription in Gothic script, while the large denomination legend in ornate Fraktur type occupies the upper right, accompanied by the place name, full date of issue, and two facsimile signatures below the titles of the Gemeindevorstand and Gemeinderat. A block of redemption text in Gothic script fills the lower centre, with a printed serial number to its right. |
