| 背面描述 | The large numeral 50 dominates the central field, enclosed within a rope or twisted-cord inner border. The legend KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE (small change substitute token) curves around the upper periphery. Two small six-pointed stars flank the lower portion of the inner border. A dotted border follows the octagonal perimeter of the flan, consistent with the wartime Notgeld style. |

Issued by a small regional savings institution in Schleswig-Holstein, this zinc notgeld piece emerged from the acute metal shortages of 1917, when the German war economy had long since redirected copper and nickel toward shell casings and military hardware. Municipal banks, cooperatives, and even private businesses were permitted — and in many cases effectively forced — to produce their own emergency coinage to keep local commerce functioning.
Preetz was a modest market town, and the Spar- und Leihkasse's issue circulated within a tight geographic radius.
