| Obverse description | Octagonal iron notgeld piece with a beaded inner border following the octagonal outline. The denomination numeral '50' dominates the central field in large raised figures, enclosed within an ornate four-lobed cartouche formed by interlocking curved bands. The issuer's name is distributed across the design, with 'KREIS' inscribed above the central cartouche and the syllables 'LAU' and 'TER' flanking the numeral on either side, while 'BACH' appears below, together spelling 'KREIS LAUTERBACH'.
