| Beschrijving voorzijde | Plain grey-green paper note of minimal typographic design, divided into three horizontal registers by ruled lines within a single rectangular border. The upper register bears a serial number prefixed by the Cyrillic-style numero sign, the central register carries the large bold denomination numeral and the word 'Pfennig' in letterpress, and the lower register contains the issuer's name in three lines of roman type. The textured paper ground serves as the sole decorative element in lieu of any vignette or guilloche underprint. |

| Opmerkingen |
Krupp's consumer cooperative — the Konsum-Anstalt — functioned as a company store network serving workers at the Essen steelworks, and these small-denomination notes were issued as internal scrip redeemable only within that system. The practical effect was to keep wages cycling back through Krupp's own retail infrastructure, a common enough arrangement in large German industrial concerns of the Wilhelmine period but one Krupp pursued at exceptional scale.
The physical smallness of the note is not incidental — pieces this size were produced cheaply and in volume, intended for daily grocery transactions, not savings.
