正面描述 Yellow side panels with scrollwork underprint flank a central dark vignette bearing a fine line-engraved view of the façade of the Haus der Schiffergesellschaft in Lübeck, rendered in white on black. The denomination '50 Pf' appears in large red numerals on both the left and right panels, with the validity date 'GÜLTIG BIS 31. DEZ. 1921' and the founding year 1535 inscribed in the respective corners. A full-width cartouche along the lower margin carries the establishment name and the names of the proprietors F. Müller and B. Remmer.

背面描述 Yellow side panels with scrollwork underprint frame a central dark vignette containing a line-engraved illustration of a historic sailing vessel under full sail on choppy seas, signed 'W. Günteritz' in the lower right corner. The left panel carries the Lübeck double-headed eagle coat of arms in colour, while the right panel bears a circular device with a crowned shield and crossed anchors surrounded by the motto 'ALLEN ZU GEFALLEN IST UNMÖGLICH'. The printer's imprint appears in italic script beneath the central vignette.

备注

The Haus der Schiffergesellschaft is one of Lübeck's oldest guild halls, dating to 1535, originally serving the shipmasters' and seafarers' guild as a meeting place and charitable institution. This note belongs to the vast wave of German Notgeld issued by municipalities, businesses, and private organizations during the postwar inflation crisis — by 1921, small-denomination coinage had virtually vanished from circulation, forcing entities of all kinds to print their own emergency substitutes.

Eugen Radtke was a Lübeck-based printer working out of Mühlenstraße, responsible for several local Notgeld issues during this period. The designer credit to W. Günteritz is relatively uncommon for Notgeld of this type — most small municipal issues went uncredited.
