| 背面描述 | Round reverse printed in dark brown on a natural tan ground, with a beaded outer border enclosing a double-line ring. A vignette in the central field shows two craftsmen operating what appears to be a wine or cider press beneath an arched gateway, with foliage to either side, rendered in a fine letterpress style. The issuer's name 'GEWERBEBANK' arcs across the upper register and 'NEUBURGaD.' along the lower, flanked by small decorative dot motifs. |

| 备注 |
Leather notgeld from the First World War period is among the more unusual emergency currency materials documented in German-speaking territories, but Bavarian issuers were particularly inventive. Gewerbebank Neuburg an der Donau was a small commercial lending institution serving the Neuburg district — not a municipal authority — making this a genuinely private-sector emergency issue rather than a town or city note.
The leather substrate creates chronic conservation problems: oils migrate, edges crack, and any previous mounting or lamination tends to leave irreversible staining. Unaltered, unmounted examples are the ones to seek.
