The Latin legend arcs around the upper and lower portions of the rope circle, reading STADTGEMEINDE at the top and FINSTERWALDE N/L at the bottom, each separated by a small floral ornament. The overall design is characteristic of World War I German notgeld emergency coinage, with a plain recessed field between the pearl border and the rope circle. |
