The central panel bears the denomination in Gothic blackletter script reading 'Fünfzig Pfennige', below which the text 'Stadtkassenschein / Berlin 9. Sept. 1921 / Magistrat der / Reichshauptstadt' is set in the same script, with a manuscript signature at the foot.
