Obverse description The left panel carries a bold vignette of the heraldic Berlin bear in black letterpress against a tan guilloche underprint of repeated '50' numerals and rosette patterns, with the numeral '50' superimposed at its base; a serial number prefixed 'Nr.' appears in a blue-bordered compartment below. The central panel bears the denomination in Gothic blackletter script reading 'Fünfzig Pfennige', below which the text 'Stadtkassenschein / Berlin 9. Sept. 1921 / Magistrat der / Reichshauptstadt' is set in the same script, with a manuscript signature at the foot. The right panel is occupied by an ornate blue geometric interlaced border framing a circular blank medallion, all printed on a tan guilloche ground.

Reverse description The left border panel carries a tan interlaced geometric ornamental frame with the district designation 'BEZIRK' in sans-serif capitals and the bold numeral '11' below, with 'Schöneberg' in Gothic script beneath, all on a white ground. The large central vignette presents a finely engraved bird's-eye topographic view of the village of Schöneberg circa 1820, rendered in black line work and showing a church tower, rural buildings, orchards, pathways, and a shepherd with flock in the foreground. The right border panel repeats the interlaced ornamental frame and carries the caption 'Dorf Schoeneberg um 1820' in Gothic script.
