| Obverse description | The left panel carries a bold vignette of the heraldic Berlin bear in black letterpress against a tan guilloche underprint of repeated '50' numerals and rosette patterns, with the numeral '50' superimposed at its base; a serial number prefixed 'Nr.' appears in a blue-bordered compartment below. The central panel bears the denomination in Gothic blackletter script reading 'Fünfzig Pfennige', below which the text 'Stadtkassenschein / Berlin 9. Sept. 1921 / Magistrat der / Reichshauptstadt' is set in the same script, with a manuscript signature at the foot.
