| Obverse description | The obverse features an outer pearl border following the octagonal periphery, enclosing a circular raised pearl ring within which the abbreviated corporate designation 'A.G.' appears in raised letters at the center of the field. The circular legend 'ALEXANDERWERK A. VON DERN NAHMER' runs between the outer pearl border and the inner pearl circle, separated from the central field by small star or floret ornaments at the cardinal points. The overall design is plain and utilitarian, typical of German notgeld emergency coinage of the World War I era. |
