| Description de l’avers | The left half of the note is occupied by a multicolour letterpress vignette of the Kirchhain church (labelled 'KIRCHE') rendered in teal, black, and red-orange tones, with the municipal coat of arms — a church building on a shield — in the upper left corner and a serial number in the upper centre. The right panel carries the Gothic-script issuer title 'Notgeld der Gerberstadt Kirchhain N/L' in bold black lettering above a large denomination numeral '50' executed in blue guilloche-style figures against a yellow floral underprint, with 'P·F·E·N·N·I·G' spaced in teal capitals below. A validity clause in Kurrent script, the issuing authority 'Städtische Sparkasse', and two facsimile signatures appear in the lower right, while the printer's imprint runs along the bottom margin. |

In the lower left corner, the denomination numeral '50' in blue is set above a heraldic vignette showing two rampant lions flanking a crowned column, rendered in gold and black. The note is framed by a yellow and black zigzag border with teal dot ornaments at the corners and midpoints. |
