| Opis awersu | Printed in deep red on cream paper, the obverse carries the issuer's name 'Stadt Crefeld' in bold Gothic lettering across the top, flanked by corner numerals '50' within decorative cartouches. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is rendered in large ornate script at centre, above a validity clause noting acceptance by all city cashiers until 31 March 1922. The date 'Crefeld, den 25. September 1919' and the facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister appear below, with a guilloche underprint across the face. The serial number with letter prefix and a series indicator are printed in black at the foot. |
