The scene is executed in a bold Art Nouveau illustrative style with flat washes of red and grey-green. To the right, a decorative panel carries repeated '50' numerals, a stylised seahorse or ornamental device, and the Wittenberg city arms; a descriptive caption in Gothic script runs along the lower margin. |
