| Popis rubu | A large central vignette, signed 'Christophe' at lower right, illustrates the lying-in-state of King Gustav Adolf of Sweden at Luther's tomb in the Schlosskirche, Wittenberg, 1632: armoured guards stand sentinel around a draped catafalque bearing two white crosses, while a mourning figure kneels at lower left and the gravestone inscribed 'MARTINI LUTHER' is visible in the foreground. The scene is executed in a bold Art Nouveau illustrative style with flat washes of red and grey-green.
