To the right, the issuer's title is set in large Gothic blackletter script across three lines, followed by a serial number line, the validity date, and the magistrate's designation with a manuscript signature. A decorative border of dashed rules frames the central field, and a right-side panel carries repeated numeral '50' devices in a stylised ornamental strip. Designer's monogram 'BHD' appears at upper right.

Reverse description A large central vignette, signed 'Christophe' at lower right, illustrates the lying-in-state of King Gustav Adolf of Sweden at Luther's tomb in the Schlosskirche, Wittenberg, 1632: armoured guards stand sentinel around a draped catafalque bearing two white crosses, while a mourning figure kneels at lower left and the gravestone inscribed 'MARTINI LUTHER' is visible in the foreground. The scene is executed in a bold Art Nouveau illustrative style with flat washes of red and grey-green. To the right, a decorative panel carries repeated '50' numerals, a stylised seahorse or ornamental device, and the Wittenberg city arms; a descriptive caption in Gothic script runs along the lower margin.
