Reverse description The reverse carries a horizontal frieze-style vignette in brown and black, reproducing a scene described as wall paintings from the Iwein Saga (Wandbilder aus der Iweinsage) at the Hessenhof in Schmalkalden. The scene shows armoured medieval knights at left, captioned 'Die Mannen suchen Iwein', alongside a tower structure at centre and two female figures at right identified as 'Lunete' and 'Berät Laudine', rendered in a stylised medieval manuscript manner. Bold letterpress banners above and below the vignette carry the full caption text framing the pictorial scene.
