| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is printed in red and olive-green on a cream ground, with bold red corner blocks each bearing the denomination numeral '50' in cream. A wide red header panel carries the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in large Gothic script, flanked by the numerals '50' on either side. The central vignette, executed in a coloured lithographic style and signed by the artist, presents a riverbank scene on the Elbe: a woman in period dress stands on the bank beneath a willow tree, while a ferryman poles a flat-bottomed boat with bathers swimming and standing in the river beyond, a timber-laden barge visible in the middle distance. Stylised Art Nouveau floral ornaments flank the vignette on left and right, and a two-line German verse in Gothic script occupies the lower panel. |
