| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in olive-green and black on cream cardboard stock. At the top, a two-line verse in Gothic Fraktur script reads across the full width of the note, enclosed within a ruled border. Below, the central vignette presents three heraldic shields set within arched niches separated by decorative columns: the left shield bears the Thuringian lion with a banner inscribed "Thüringen", the centre shield displays the electoral Saxon arms dated 1547 with a banner above, and the right shield shows two fish with a star for the city of Weißensee. The lower portion is divided into three panels: at left, the validity notice text in Gothic script; at centre, the bold denomination "50 Pfennig" in a ruled cartouche; and at right, the place and date of issue "Weißensee, den 1. August 21" above the printed title "Der Magistrat:" and a manuscript facsimile signature. |
