| Vorderseitenbeschreibung | The obverse is laid out in a tripartite arrangement within a rust-brown rectangular border. The upper register carries the town name inscription in bold letterpress type. Flanking a central vignette of the city coat of arms — a crowned shield divided per cross in red and white with a key in base — are two square panels each bearing the denomination numeral '50' above the legend 'PFENNIG'. The lower left panel contains the validity clause in letterpress text, while the lower right panel bears the place-date and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister. |

| Rückseitenbeschreibung | The reverse presents, on the right portion, a detailed woodcut-style panoramic vignette of Ehrenbreitstein as it appeared circa 1549, rendered in fine line engraving and showing the fortified town atop a rocky promontory with a river in the foreground; an underprint ghost text of the town name is visible behind the vignette. A vertical ornamental panel on the left edge incorporates an interlaced diamond-and-scroll geometric border in brown and black with the denomination numeral '50' set within a hexagonal cartouche. The artist's name 'RAULAND' appears in the lower right corner. |

| Anmerkungen |
Ehrenbreitstein issued this note just two years before the city ceased to exist as an independent municipality — it was absorbed into the newly consolidated Koblenz in 1937. The Schaar & Dathe printing house in Trier was a prolific producer of Rhineland Notgeld during the early 1920s inflation spiral, responsible for a significant share of the municipal emergency currency that flooded the region when small-denomination coinage vanished from circulation almost entirely.
The designer credit to Rauland is uncommon for a note of this modest face value. Bürgermeister Wagner's signature appears in the authorizing line.
