| Obverse description | Printed in brown on firm white paper by letterpress, the upper two-thirds of the obverse carries a vignette of Burg Castle set on a wooded hillside, flanked to the right by a decorative scroll cartouche in pen-and-ink style bearing the town name 'Burg a.d. Wüpper' in Gothic script, with a circular municipal seal incorporating a heraldic lion and cogwheel device positioned below. The lower panel presents the denomination numeral '50' at left, the issuing authority text and validity date centred, and a facsimile mayoral signature, all enclosed within an ornamental border with foliate corner devices. |
