To the left, a caricature vignette of a devil figure hunched over and scattering banknotes serves as the central artistic motif, with the denomination "50" at left. A title inscription "Des Teufels Erfindung" heads the upper field, followed by a four-line verse in German Fraktur script referencing Goethe's Faust.
